Director Message
In a constantly changing world, where environmental, climatic, and societal changes are profoundly reshaping the ecology and dynamics of infectious diseases, our commitment remains clear: “understand to act better - innovate to protect.”
At 2IDE, we believe that scientific research and community engagement must work hand in hand to build more resilient health systems capable of responding to emerging challenges related to infectious diseases and environmental degradation.
Our organization is structured around several research units - Medical Entomology, Epidemiology and Parasitology, Socio-Anthropology, and Environment - which work in synergy to produce knowledge that support informed decision-making on sustainable strategies to be implemented, for an effective infectious disease prevention and environmental protection.
Together, we promote an integrated health approach grounded in science, innovation, and community participation. We are working toward a future in which people live in healthy environments, protected from the threats posed by infectious diseases, through the implementation of evidence-based policies.
We invite you to join our mission for sustainable health and a healthy environment for all.
